Sarah (she/her/hers) earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago in 2016, and her Bachelor’s Degree studying Psychology at the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana in 2011. She currently holds a license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. As a clinician, Sarah takes great effort to create a warm, nonjudgmental space to help clients feel seen and understood. She has experience working with youth, teens, and adults and brings compassion, genuineness, honest reflection, and humor to clients in session. Sarah is a client-focused clinician who strives to help her clients restore their sense of self, increase their self-esteem, build meaningful relationships with boundaries, and obtain the goals they set for themselves. Sarah views therapy from a strengths based perspective, drawing upon Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) modalities. Sarah is passionate about supporting clients struggling with life’s difficulties, including those experiencing abuse, youth in foster care, homelessness, trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges with oneself and others.
